Shang stared at the person who just talked.
"That will be fine with me as long as we get to eat!", Shang said in a hasty manner.
Serket thought for a couple of seconds and deicded to talk.
"Shang, I...", Serket whispered when a strange man came running up to Shang.
The odd man stopped running and was breathing heavily. He was a middle aged man with a long beard. He was also wearing a green Earth Kingdom robe.
"Shang...", whispered this man while still breathing heavily. He continued, "Shang! The Rites of Passage ceremony is going to start in 75 minutes! We better go now!"
Shang snorted and then chuckled like he didn't care what was happening.
"It's just a ceremony Za-ein!". Shang made another chuckle and spoke, "Plus, I'm not going to be there until I get something to eat!"
Za-ein looked at him in a crazy manner. "But it's the ceremony when the young Earthbenders prove themselves to be worthy of being a warrior!"
Shang's stomach then growled. "I see a lot of talking but no eating!", Shang said in a sarcastic way.
Za-ein sighed and spoke, "There will be a feast, Shang....".
Sokka's stomach growled as well. "Feasts are good!", Sokka said.
Shang laughed, "Then what are we waiting for! Let's go!
And just like that, the group started off to the Earth Kingdom village. It was a one hour walk to the village, but it was worth it, because when the group reached there, it was an amazing sight. Earthbender performers had shows, plays, acts. There were food carts all around the village. There were games as well where people come from all around to compete. It was overcrowded by hundreds of Earth Kingdom villagers.
"oh, wow....", katara whispered.
"Whoa....", Aang responded.
Sokka spoke, "I'm hungry, I'm going to get some food".
Sokka went off to one food cart.
Shang pointed to the firebenders and whispered, You firebenders, you owe me for lending you those Earth Kingdom disguises".
We walked until we saw a huge stage. Za-ein ran up to it and shouted, "This is where the ceremony will start everybody! Isn't that great!". But, when he turned around, everybody had gone around the village to have some fun...
Rei, Zuko, Katara and Mari went off to the game booths while Serket, Mikomi, Keanu, and the Avatar went to see the Earthkingdom performers. And, of course, Sokka and Shang went to the food carts.
Za-ein spotted the group split up and shouted, "Remember! The ceremony starts in 15 minutes! So hurry!"
